Chapter 2- The early 1800's
As the 19th century came around, so did batteries. Batteries were invented in 1800 by Alessandro Volta, but they only became apparent in society about 98 years later when the first battery was sold. After this, batteries were seen and used almost everywhere, from cars to flashlights. Batteries were quite an important part of the advancements of technology because they are so widely used. Without batteries, much of the current technology in our society wouldn't be as apparent.

The train- invented in 1804 was possibly one of the most important technological advancements in the 19th century. Trains were incredibly important in our society because of all of their uses. After their invention trains were used for travel, and cargo transport. Trains were very useful in certain wars(such as the civil war), and they are also commonly used for transportation is large cities.
Around 20-30 years later, the first electricity generator, though not a modern one. The electricity generator had a large role in our society as for a long period of time, people used it to power their homes and eventually, cars.
