Technology in the 20th century

The rocket - invented in 1926 by Robert Hutchings Goddard Was an invention that caused a massive chain of events, the biggest being the space race. The invention of rockets allowed access to the exploration of our solar system. Russia and the U.S. fought long and hard to be the rulers of space. Rockets also allowed things like the

Hubble telescope and satellites to be made, as now these things were capable of making it to space. Rockets were eventually used to land humans on the moon, and land spacecraft on Venus, Mars, Titan(one of Saturn's moons), at least 2 different asteroids, and more. The rocket gave us the ability to understand more about our solar system. Thanks to rockets, we are able to learn about parts of space that otherwise would have been undiscovered.

Thanks to the invention of rockets, we also have satellites located across the world. Arthur Clarke formed the idea of the satellite in 1945. Satellites proved to be quite useful in out society, and most of us depend on satellites without even knowing it. Satellites can be used for a wide variety of things including providing information about the Earth, cellphone service, and weather predictions.

The robot, invented in 1954 by George Devol. The robot was a massive leap in terms of technology. These robots soon became able to replace many people's jobs in many factories, such as car factories. Many products these days are crafted my multiple robot arms. Now, robots are starting to be programmed to vacuum houses, do dishes, or even act like humans.
